about Microneedling

Microneedling also called Collagen Induction Therapy, uses a hand held pen style device to create controlled depth micro-wounds in the dermis. These micro-injuries trigger the bodies natural healing process, producing new collagen and elastin. The result is improved skin texture and laxity and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, and acne scars. The channels produced in the skin allows serums and healthy skincare ingredients to be driven deep into the dermis, increasing the skins utilization of nutrients by up to 3000%.

Marie has been very successful with diminishing the appearance of acne scarring, stretch marks, fine lines and brown spots/age spots/sun damage/Melasma.

Microneedling treatments coupled with high nutrient based products are used to treat a variety of conditions to include:

+ Mild to moderate acne scarring, surgical scars, and stretch marks
+ Pore size
+ Brown spots, Melasma and sun damaged skin
+ Fine lines and wrinkles
+ Skin tone and texture
+ Loose and lax skin

Microneedling is truly a game changer in the anti-aging, skincare world but not everybody is a good candidate.

How many treatments do I need?

A single Microneedling treatment will make a nice change to your skin. Mild improvements will be noticed directly after the first treatment with better results coming at about 2 weeks. Your results will continue to improve up to 3 months. Based on the area, desired outcome, and condition treated, you may need 1-6 treatments for optimal results. Your goals and individual treatment plan will be discussed at your initial appointment or via phone, text prior to.

What to expect during and after?

Depending on the area being treated, the procedure is well-tolerated and in some cases virtually painless, feeling only a mild prickly sensation. Topical anesthetics are applied 15 minutes prior to your treatment to reduce any pain or discomfort. Your skin will be pink or red in appearance, much like a light sunburn for a couple of hours following the treatment. Minor bleeding or bruising is possible (but rare) depending on needle depth and passes. Your skin may feel warm, tight, and itchy but this should subside in 12-48 hours.
